Being Jeff Stone

Magic and Life by Jeff Stone

Stone Cold Magic

Enter the strange and warped mind of Jeff Stone and attempt to view the world through his eyes... Good Luck, and Be Careful!

I’ve been reading Sherlock Holmes (sadly for the first time ever in my life). Of course, I’ve seen the old British episodes on TV, and everyone knows who Sherlock Holmes is and what he’s all about. Plus I love watching House M.D. which is basically a medical version of Holmes. Anyhoo, my point is that I’m really diggin’ reading and getting into the brain of dear Dr. Watson’s strange companion. I love the way his mind works. So just in case there’s another one of you out there (besides myself) who hasn’t read Sherlock Holmes (4 novels and 56 short stories), get with the program and start reading.

Meanwhile back in Metropolis, it’s Friday daddy-Michael night tonight, and Michael (my son) wanted to play Clue. The perfect game to complete the circle of all that is deducible. We played the computer version called Clue Accusations and Alibis. It was only 10 bucks to purchase and download, and it was a blast. It’s a slightly different twist on the original game. Regardless, it was a lot of fun to sit there with my son and try to analyze and work through the clues so that we could deduce which room, which weapon and which suspect was involved in the crime.

I’m not a pitchman for Clue or Hasbro Spin Top Games or Arthur Conan Doyle (writer of Sherlock Holmes) for that matter. However, I am a pitchman for family and spending time with kids. I’m also a pitchman for learning more and expanding ones critical and deductive thinking skills. So if you’re a proponent of that then here are a couple of things for you:

  1. Download and buy Clue
  2. Read Sherlock Holmes
  3. Spend time with your kids!

Do them together. However, of course, if you only pick one, pick # 3 . . . Get a Clue Sherlock!
